Check it out.Check it out.What are your guys thoughts around, how we approach this and some of those early ideas that we had tossed around.
I’m interested in hearing those kind of untold stories about the parts of the process the things that go into a great email the content, the idea, the personalization. Everybody goes about it in a different way. And so zoom out and go. OK? Well, here are these things that people are doing to form relationships or to further relationships or to get a message across and to do that it takes effort, right? It takes some thought and some creativity and hearing how people go about that and come up with those ideas. I think it’s gonna be really interesting.
Yeah, I think what’s going to be such a great take away from this whole series is that each email sender kind of has a different goal that they’re talking about and what success means to them. I think, who was it, Kurt? You know, once when somebody he didn’t know contacted him and, you know, referred to him as the Shopify guy that was like that was when he knew he was doing something right. And there are a lot of different goals. It’s cool to hear someone come up with a brand new one.
Yeah, I think I completely agree with you. Understand and see and discover little things like that that such a range of people are doing. There’s so many great things. And even as I was going through these interviews and then editing the episodes, it was hard to be like, Oh, there’s so many good things here. But what’s this stuff that really stands out? And you may think like Oh, yeah, like I feel the same way. But to hear it in their voice or to hear that just kind of uniquely different twist, it’s kind of interesting, and it sparks ideas, and I think it gives, like some of the great inspiration to then set out and think about how you approach your next email.
That would be the definition of success for me, for this podcast is if we can not only highlight those stories behind the email, but also spark interest for people to come up with new and better creative, effective ways for them to apply to their own email. For the record, I would be skeptical of anyone that doesn’t think email is sexy. Just, my opinion.
They have no idea what they’re talking about. Uh, wasn’t it? I think it was Jay. In episode two who was talking about, I think maybe it’s even the name of his newsletter was something about being bothered by the suck or something like that.
Yeah, he had a few different ones where it was like, Damn, the best practices was an email newsletter he had.
I think a common theme we’re gonna keep hearing about is that relationship building. And we always say this in our office. It’s like dating. You know, you don’t come right out in the first email or interaction and ask somebody to marry you. You know, you’ve got to build that relationship. So I’m excited to hear more people talk about how they’re doing that.
Awesome. Well, I think we covered some good ground here, and it was great to hear from both of you around some of your reflections and kind of hopes for the podcast as well as some takeaways. Is there anything else that you think would be worth sharing in this context? Any final thoughts?
