The International Safety Equipment Association (ISEA) is a non-profit trade association representing companies that manufacture and distribute personal protective equipment (PPE). Founded in 1933, ISEA has been a leading workplace safety and PPE authority for over 85 years.
ISEA aims to improve occupational safety and health globally by setting standards, promoting education and training, and advocating for using protective equipment to keep workers safe. The organization works closely with regulatory agencies, standards organizations, and industry stakeholders to develop and promote the use of effective PPE.
ISEA’s members include leading manufacturers of protective equipment, such as 3M, Honeywell, and DuPont, as well as distributors and testing laboratories. Together, they collaborate on research and development of new technologies, products, and industry best practices.
ISEA’s activities include developing and publishing performance standards for PPE (personal protective equipment), researching the efficacy of protective equipment, providing education and training resources for employers and employees, and advocating for policies and regulations promoting worker safety.
Overall, ISEA plays a critical role in ensuring that workers are protected from workplace hazards and have access to PPE that meets the highest quality and performance standards.
ISEA provides its members with a wealth of resources and support, including access to technical experts, regulatory updates, and networking opportunities. The organization also hosts conferences and events to bring together industry professionals and showcase the latest advances in PPE technology.
ISEA’s leadership in setting standards and advocating for workplace safety has been recognized by government agencies, industry groups, and other stakeholders. The organization’s contributions have helped to shape the regulatory landscape for PPE and ensure that workers are protected from a wide range of hazards.
Streamlining ISEA’s Newsletter Distribution
As the world continues to face new and evolving threats to worker safety, ISEA remains committed to advancing the field of PPE and promoting best practices for protecting workers in all industries.
The association decided to team up with rasa.io to streamline its newsletter distribution campaign, combine its content into a single newsletter, and free up valuable time and staff power.
Save time curating so you can spend your efforts on the “bajillion” other things you need to do.
ISEA first partnered with rasa.io when Nicole Randall, ISEA’s Director of Marketing & External Affairs, saw that the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) was using the platform to deliver its daily newsletter. Knowing that ASAE had an audience that was just as, if not more, diverse, she decided to investigate.Â
“When I saw that the association for associations was using this platform, I decided to check it out for myself,” Randall said. “I was intrigued by the concept of a ‘smart newsletter’ and especially one that curated news and formatted the email for me.”
For ISEA, Incorporating New and Relevant Content Has Never Been Easier
First, the Customer Success team from rasa.io worked directly with ISEA staff to develop new and relevant content sources for the newsletter.
“The customer team helped me research which sources for content would be best for our newsletter based on the audience,” Randall explained. “I provided those we use most, and they added some we agreed would be useful.”
With an average of 4.9 stars on G2, our users love to brag about the growth of their email engagement.
From there, she says, adding external content has been easy. Randall points specifically to the rasa.io Chrome extension.
“A click of the button allows me to add news and content as I come across it,” she says. “In seconds, I can add what I feel is valuable content for our audience into the content queue.”
In addition to external content, ISEA uses its newsletter to feature its own in-house content with an entire section for ISEA news where the organization features its most recent blog posts, webinars, and videos. The association even uses its newsletters to publish its own in-house ads; such as banner promos for events, webinars, and other resources.
Subscriber Reaction to ISEA’s Newsletter Has Been Positive
“We’ve heard from many subscribers they like how ‘scannable’ and clean the newsletter is,” Randall said. “We’ve been told it’s obvious we put much more time and thought into this newsletter, but when I tell them it’s actually the opposite, they are shocked.”
She says everyone is pleased that the association’s resources are being used better than spending so much time and effort manually curating newsletters.
Best of all, like all of the other example associations in our case studies, when ISEA’s subscribers were exposed to the personalized content that comes from AI-assisted content curation, they couldn’t help but rave about the newsletters they received. As a result, ISEA has seen its newsletter open rates and click-through rates steadily increase since launching its new and improved newsletter using the rasa.io platform.
Thanks to rasa.io analytics, they’ve got the receipts to prove it.
With rasa.io’s deep analytics tools, ISEA has insight into email engagement, including open rates, click-through rates, and subscriber behavior. These analytics continue to help the association optimize email content, improve audience targeting, and increase overall email campaign effectiveness.
“Thanks to rasa.io’s analytics, I can evaluate which topics are most interesting to our audience and ensure I include more.”
