How rasa.io Works With Your Current Tech Stack

How rasa.io Works With Your Current Tech Stack — rasa.io

A practical reference for associations evaluating rasa.io alongside their existing platforms.

One of the most common early questions we hear is some version of: "we already have X, Y, and Z — how does rasa.io fit into all of that?" The honest answer is that it depends on the tool. Some things integrate. Some things rasa.io can replace. Some things stay exactly where they are and rasa.io never touches them.

This page is a plain-language reference for the tools associations most commonly bring into that conversation.

Your AMS

Personify · Higher Logic · YourMembership · Fonteva · Nimble · MemberClicks · GrowthZone Integrates

Your AMS is your system of record for member data. It stays. rasa.io connects to it bidirectionally: member attributes flow in to give the AI a starting point for personalization, and summarized engagement data can flow back out to enrich member records over time.

Member role, membership type, geography, renewal date, and other attributes you're already maintaining in your AMS can be used from day one to seed personalization — before the AI has had time to build behavioral profiles from engagement. The longer you're sending, the less you need to rely on that initial data, but it's a useful head start.

HubSpot / Salesforce

HubSpot · Salesforce Integrates — may be partially replaceable

If you're using HubSpot or Salesforce primarily as a CRM — for contact management, pipeline tracking, or prospect outreach — that stays in place and rasa.io connects to it for contact sync and engagement data passback.

If you're using it primarily to send member emails, that function moves to rasa.io. Depending on how central email is to your use of the platform, this may allow you to downgrade your tier or exit the contract for member communications purposes entirely. Both outcomes are legitimate reasons to make the switch.

Your AMS’s built-in email module

Higher Logic Informz · AMS email modules Replaced for member email

Most AMS-bundled email tools are designed for broad delivery, not AI-driven personalization. If you're currently sending member newsletters or campaigns through your AMS's email module and finding the results underwhelming, rasa.io is built to be a better alternative — while still integrating with the AMS itself for member data.

You keep the AMS. The email function moves to rasa.io.

Newsletter services

SmartBrief · Curated · Industry Dive · Axios / Smart Brevity Replaced

If you're using a done-for-you newsletter service, rasa.io replaces that function — and keeps 100% of your ad and sponsorship revenue on your side rather than splitting it with the service provider.

The real tradeoff: a newsletter service is hands-off in ways rasa.io isn't. But the time your team spends managing the platform is significantly less than the 20+ hours a week most teams spend on manual newsletter production — and the revenue and data ownership you gain in exchange tends to make the economics look very different.

Content creation vendors

Editorial teams · AMC staff · Content partners Unchanged

If you work with an outside vendor or internal team to create or curate newsletter content, that relationship doesn't change. rasa.io is where the email gets built and sent, not where the content gets written. Your content vendor continues doing what they do; the output feeds into rasa.io's content pool rather than being formatted in a separate template.

Your website / WordPress

WordPress · association websites Integrates via RSS

If your website publishes content — blog posts, news articles, event listings, press releases — that content can be pulled automatically into rasa.io's content pool via RSS feed. New content is ingested as it's published, with no manual steps required. Your team can still review and approve what appears in any given send, but the sourcing is automatic.

Your LMS

Elevate · Cadmium · other LMS platforms Integrates via RSS or API

Educational content, course listings, webinar announcements, and certification resources living in your LMS can be surfaced in member emails through rasa.io. The connection method depends on whether your LMS supports RSS feeds or API access — most do.

What this makes possible: Rather than your team manually selecting which educational resources to feature each week, rasa.io can automatically surface relevant LMS content to each member based on their individual interest profile. A member whose engagement history suggests interest in early-career development gets different course recommendations than one whose history points toward governance or policy.

SSO and community platforms

SSO systems · online communities · member portals Unchanged

Single sign-on systems, online community platforms, and member portals are outside the scope of rasa.io entirely. They stay where they are and rasa.io has no interaction with them.

Your advertising and sponsorship partner

In-house ad sales · outside ad agencies · sponsorship partners Unchanged

rasa.io provides full control over ad and sponsorship placements within your emails. How you sell that inventory is entirely up to you. rasa.io doesn't get involved in ad sales and doesn't take a share of revenue.

Note: If you're currently with a newsletter service that handles ad sales on your behalf and takes a percentage, moving to rasa.io means taking that function back in-house or working with a dedicated ad sales partner. That's a real operational consideration worth thinking through as part of your evaluation.

A note on multi-platform associations

Many associations — particularly larger ones — are running content and member data across several systems that don't naturally talk to each other. Events in the AMS. Educational content in an LMS. Resources in a knowledge hub. A WordPress website with its own content. Member records in one place, engagement data in another.

rasa.io doesn't require all of those systems to be integrated with each other. It just needs a connection to each source of content you want to include, and a connection to the member data you want to use for personalization. Those connections can be set up independently, and your implementation team will work with you to determine what's feasible given your specific setup.

The integration question — what to connect, in what order, and what the lift looks like — is one of the most useful things to walk through before you get to contract. If you want to map your stack against what rasa.io needs, that's exactly what a pre-demo conversation is for.
